Uwe Horstmann


Co-Founder and General Partner of the Berlin-based venture capital firm Project A Ventures, Uwe Horstmann is a business startup expert who not only invests in early-stage startups, but who also provides support as they develop into full-fledged enterprises. In 2012, he founded Project A Ventures (PAV). With four partners, he invests in startups in Europe and globally with 500m USD assets under management. PAV’s ca. 100 employees are both financial investors and coaches who provide an operational support system for growing companies. Prior to founding PAV, Horstmann was one of the first members of Rocket Internet at its founding in 2007, serving as managing director. Horstmann has been recognized as a “Young Leader” by the German-American think tank Atlantik-Brücke and has been named to Forbes’s “30 Under 30”. He studied business administration at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and has lived, worked, and studied in Germany, the U.S., East Africa, Japan, Mexico, North Korea, and Saudi Arabia.
