On Thursday, July 20th, Dematic will be bringing its users conference to Newark. This educational session will provide Maintenance, Operation, Engineering and IT knowledge to the New Jersey metropolitan area. Through our Mobile Training Unit, expert education leaders and collaboration with your fellow colleagues, you will learn the latest trends, technologies and resources to optimize your Dematic system.

Track A - Operations Management

SPEAKER: Charlie Otten, Dematic, Global Product Manager, Analytics

Work Smarter, Not Harder: This session will provide an overview of how to establish meaningful KPI's for operations and maintenance, and use those to manage regular activities. You will learn how data can be collected, analyzed, and presented effectively to make decisions. Additionally, you will see how to track effects of changes over time for use in continuous improvement.

Track B - Maintenance Management

SPEAKER: Andy Randles, Dematic, Director, Parts Logistics

Managing Maintenance Resources Effectively: This session will focus on managing maintenance costs, identifying critical parts, ensuring proper stock levels, and tracking unit level performance. We will demonstrate how to use tools such as Enterprise Asset Management software and the Dematic Customer Portal to help execute cost reduction strategies based on data.

Track C - DC Engineering and IT Management

SPEAKER: Jon Vanderwiel, Dematic, Engineering Manager

Working with and Planning for Aging Control Systems: This session will provide an overview of aging controls architecture and devices, and provide ideas for how to deal with them. The presenter will provide input on how to categorize your risks, as well as common sense approaches to migrating to newer technologies and the benefits associated with them.

You will hear about why DCOE concepts are important, how ignoring them can adversely affect your operation, and some real-world results of this initiative.

Track B - Maintenance Management

Best Maintenance Practices for the Real World: In this session a tenured maintenance manager will share his experiences balancing the needs of the operation with the equipment maintenance requirements. Learn approaches to safety and training, managing daily routines, planning for peaks in production, and balancing preventive and reactive maintenance.

Track C - DC Engineering and IT Management

Don't forget the Software: Today's material handling systems are ever more reliant on software to drive their operation.
